One of the best advices I received from two of the best street photographers there is (Susan and Neil Silverman) - to train my eye/brain in capturing that moment when I was learning street photography - is to carry a blank slide (the old-fashioned projector slide) - and start framing scenes/faces etc. with it. I looked like an idiot doing that, but it helped my brain frame and compose on the spot and not in software.

Thanks, I am liking your book. Any chance of an ePub version? Most of my reading is on the iPhone and while the PDF is readable the font is smaller than I confortable.

It looks like the preferred format for conversion is a .doc (Word) file.

Really really great book. I couldn't stop reading it! So many great tips and tricks and lots of inspiration! You should try to let it print. That can't be too expensive...
Just a small order and you can sell it online.

Thank you very much for taking the time to put together that wonderful book. Love the layout and it's useful information.
fozbaca (22 months ago | reply)
First I'm really enjoying your book, almost finished. But since you asked specific questions...
How do you like the layout?
Would prefer page header book title or section/chapter title and footers with page numbers.
How do you like the overall PDF?
PDF is good on the desktop or when printed. PDF is just a little bit too small when viewed on an iPhone, would also like a ePub version.
How is the reading experience?
Overall an enjoyable reading expereince.
How do you like the text?
How bad is my English?
Your English is good but everyone can use a good editor.
How do you like the photos?
Like the photos.
Should there be more text?
So far the text length is good, maybe it could be a little shorter. There are a some times where you repeat yourself in different sections.
Should there be more photos?
Think there is good balance of photos and text.
What can be improved?
A good editor. One that keeps your voice but clears up some of the non native english speakerisms and some of the repititions of point.
What can be done better?
Would you donate something for such a book?
I would probably pay $1-2 for epub version. Might pay for a print version with more photos in magazine style layout through something like MagCloud.
Anything else you may want to share with me...
Thanks again for writing, photographing and sharing the book. It has been my best read on Street Photography so far and there are lots of good general photography bits. Great work.

Wonderful ebook! :) First of all I'm still sort of the learner in Photography. not that beginner, not that a pro either. and I've always wondered how street photographers take pictures of strangers without being whacked in the face. This ebook helped me understand street photography and its essence. It's true that going street is amazing once you get a hang of it, but it takes a lot of courage to be great at it. It's easy to read for both beginners and pro.
I liked that you included wonderful photos in the ebook and included the stories behind it. It makes the book exciting in a way. It made me look at street photography differently, in a good way. I loved the funny parts (that list of excuses) And your English was not bad! It's quite fluent, actually! :) There should be LESS text. hehe. I think. because we are more inclined to illustrations as most of us are photographers.:) That being said, there should be more photos and more stories!
Thanks for sharing this! :) You should do these things more often. :)

I think it's fantastic that you have taken your experience and shared what you have learned. The pics are prima! II do pick up on a few English grammar errors but nothing worse than what I might hear from locals where I live (in the USA)
Awesome job!
