The Taste of D.C., event highlights more than 70 eateries, 30 specialty beer providers, the United Service Organization (USO) Metropolitan Washington, and live bands. It is anticipated that more than 500,000 people will attend over the course of the three-day event, which extends from the White House to the Capitol, along Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington D.C. on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service specialists present talks and cooking demonstrations. Agriculture’s mobile Discovery Zone is on hand to educate children and parents about the four main principals of food safety – clean, separate, cook and chill.
