The Vermont Food Venture Center, a non-profit multi-purpose incubator kitchen and food processing facility operated by the Center for an Agricultural Economy in Hardwick, VT received assistance through a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG). The grant offers farmers in a region of rural America that celebrates food, farm and local economy the tools necessary to convert crops to value added business to start or expand their food-based business with the potential to create jobs and increase economic opportunity on Sep. 19, 2013.
