DSCN4042_1_72 - Canopy of a grove of trees
This canopy is almost closed, but not quite. It is still early in the summer, and new growth plus more or larger leaves may close this canopy before the summer is over. Oringally, most of Indiana was forrested with very think forests. That was until settlers started clearing the land. Today there are cleared sections interspersed with groves which have been preserved so the wildlife will have its habitat preserved.
