Sunrise on the eastside of Oahu seen from the Lanikai Pillbox trail.

Took this on a short hike in Point Lobos Park in Monterey, CA. Took a day trip to Monterey to see the aquarium and sights around there. Definitely a good time.

Brought the 50mm on a short hike this morning for some tight landscape shots of the Mokulua Islands. The lighting wasn't great for those shots but I ended up getting this shot that I'm pretty happy about.

Another wave explosion caused by backwash hitting an incoming wave. This one was right as the sun popped over the horizon, so the light was nice and pink. I wish I had been able to get a higher perspective though, so that the sun would have been visible in the shot.

SPL Waterhousing

Last Christmas we had a big northeast swell and Kona winds. Anyone who surfs the eastside of Oahu waits all year for these conditions and everyone was licking their chops this day. Unfortunately, the swell was double overhead ++ and the water at this spot was closed by lifeguards. I didn't mind though, it allowed me to take some empty wave shots of some perfect waves. I liked the way the clouds and late afternoon lighting made it pretty moody.
