... Are Closer Than They Appear

And I'm real happy about that too...

After several rough weeks in dealing with my late father's affair's, Todd and I had a chance to take a couple days off and visit my brother and his family.

The young lady with the wind-blown look is my wonderfully talented niece, Brooke. We had just left the church where I had a chance to see my brother, Phil, perform with the church band, and we were soon on our way to watch Brooke practice with her novice ice skating team. In a few months they will be heading off to Ohio for a competition and should they place, they will be heading off to Spain for the internationals.

I'm sorry I haven't been in touch with everybody lately, but we're still handling a lot of loose ends with my late father's estate. The good news is that there is light at the end of the tunnel and we're finally finding some down time.

This is the life!

I saw this sweet Thunderbird and met the friendly driver outside of The Space Coast Iceplex, where my niece takes Skating lessons. He was about to leave as we arrived but since he knows my brother and sister-in-law, he happily agreed to let me snap a few shots.

I snapped this as I was about to board my connecting flight to Orlando, Florida... when I was getting ready to post this, I had to think for a moment if this was in Rochester or Atlanta, but then I remembered that when I left Rochester it was 13 degrees and snowing ;-)

I just returned home from an extended stay with my family in Florida, and wanted to share this little guy with you.

I couldn't shake him at, The Atlanta/Hartsfield International Airport; he seemed to be everywhere! I thought it might be a sign for safe journeys or something, so how could I not take his picture?
