Bell & Howell Filmosound Specialist 399AV 16mm sound movie projector

    I'm not a huge B&H fan (Autoloads, especially. Grrr). The 399 series, however, earns a sentimental place as the first 16mm projector I ever operated, back in the early 1970s as a fourth-grader with a budding fascination for these machines.

      I too started to love movie projectors in grade school. My father later on got me a used projector with three large reels of The Three Stooges and cartoons. I saw them more than two hundred times. I edited the films, lubricated the machine and even showed movies to my friends of the street for 25 cents. I still enjoy the hobby of watching movies. I have more than 60 reels of all kinds , but my favorite ones are 11 reels of thirty minutes each, of The Three Stooges. They were so funny and every time I show them, people laugh a lot. That makes me happy.
