    The lighting on the ice cream is well done. The blow out on left side is blending into the white background. I would have cropped it differently though. Maybe a tighter cropping or one with the ice cream much more off center. I would try to reduce the empty space around the ice cream.

    I understand and agree if used as is but it is for a magazine cover and they specifically asked for space around for writting. I should have been more accurate in the description, my apologies. I do love your cropping idea though. Much more daring than what I would have done.

    It looks fantastic and very yummy indeed. Good to know that it is used for a magazine cover as that definitely explains the space around the icecream. Can I ask if you've used real icecream here? I keep reading about people using fake icecream because it gives you definitely more time to shoot the photo you want, but this looks very real to me!
