Casey (Adopted)
Casey was hit by a car on Tues, Nov 3rd. His family rushed him to the vet. The vet would not do any work on Casey unless the family paid in advance. They didn't have much money, so the vet gave Casey a shot for the pain, and sent him home! Imagine the pain he must be in! The family called MNBR for help.
Casey is currently at the White Bear Lake Animal Hospital. He will need surgery to put either pins or plates in to repair the severe fractures in his legs. Casey is being made comfortable while a decision is being made about how best to help him. If he needs plates, surgery would be around $5000! Casey is a large dog at approximately 95 lbs. If he ends up having surgery, he may need a wheelchair in order to get around during his recovery time.
Please donate what you can to help this poor boy!

Connie (adopted)
I'm Connie! I'm 3 years old, and have just been rescued from a puppy mill. Like most puppy mill girls, I get along great with other dogs. But, I also love people too! I'm going to be arriving in rescue very soon. We'll have a lot more information to post about me soon.
It won't be long, and I'll be ready to find my forever home. I'm very excited!
Love,
Connie

Delilah (adopted)
Hello there - my name is Delilah. They say I am an "owner surrender". I think tha means my owners got lost somewhere because they aren't with me anymore. I am a young girl who does good with other dogs - I am in the same place as Keeno and we got to play together. We also both got to go into the "catery" - do you know what that is? It is a very scarey place so hope they never take you there! There are lots of small fury things in cages that hiss and make weird noises. I was curious when I went in with Keeno but scared when I went in by myself. The shelter lady says it can be a bit overwhelming but was proud of me that I showed no aggression at all. I will be a great girl for you I just know it!
I will be arriving in MN on October 10th and need a foster home. If you would like to foster me please email May at may.heckman@mnboxerrescue.com.

Keeno (adopted)
Hi my name is Keeno!
Yes, that's right, one of my eyes is blue! And you might as well know I can't hear. But, the lady at the shelter who is going to help get me out says she loves me! This is what she told MNBR about me - "I am in love with this dog. She is the silliest and sweetest thing on the face of the earth. With the one blue eye her expressions are very hard to read. She actually looks like she is giving you a look like she might attack you and then she does a silly butt run and jumps high in the air and wants love and attention. I tested her with Delilah...Keeno did nothing but sniff and no tail wag. It was hard to read at first. Then all of a sudden out of no where Keeno leaps high into the air and starts play bowing to Delilah. She got very silly and was cracking us up. She acts like a puppy." Now if that isn't a great compliment, I don't know what is! So what do you say, want to play with me?
I will be arriving in MN on October 10th and need a foster home. If you would like to foster me please email May at may.heckman@mnboxerrescue.com.

Gus (adopted)
HI! My name is Gus! I’m about 8 or 9 months old and I’m a pretty mellow dude for a puppy. I flew on a big air plane to Minnesota from Kentucky, but don’t know much else about my past. I love to wrestle, run, and play AND I am a National Tug of War champion! I am an alpha male, so I may do better in a home with no other dogs or another dog that isn’t going to mind when I take that role. I’m starting to get this whole potty training thing down and can sit on command. I also love to snuggle. I have no problem crawling up onto your lap and nestling my nose against your arm. I’m still pretty floppy because I’m still just a young puppy; my paws are big and I wiggle when I walk. But I’m very smart and am ready to find a nice home with a big yard for me to play in!
