My couch has been my sanctuary this summer. Whenever I'd come back from wherever I was that day, I would just throw my shoes off on the carpet and sit down for a few episodes of Criminal Minds or a baseball game.

Backstory: On August 3rd I received my brand new Canon Rebel T3i, my first ever Canon product.

I am returning to school at RIT on August 24th with classes starting on September 5th. In order to become better acquainted with my new camera, I will be completing a temporary "daily" project over this time to get myself back into the swing of shooting and editing. This project will span over one month: from August 4th, my first full day with my camera, to September 4th, my last full day of summer.

There was a quick break in the clouds today so I decided to spend some time outside. The marker underneath this bush is a cat angel, marking where my cat Tai has been buried since 2005.

This week has been so hectic that I've barely had time to eat, let alone shoot. Or maybe I'm just picky.

It's impossible for me to keep my hair tidy during the workday and any errands following it. The humidity doesn't help much.

Starting today, it's going to be pouring rain almost all week. I wish I could just lay around like this for the next few days, but a heavy workweek is preventing that. I'll leave the cat naps to Mufasa.
