      I have had two Robins, probably first year adults, trying to build a nest in the porch by the side of my front door. Trouble is its an open ended space and they've pushed enough moss and leaves right through without getting it to 'stick' so that there is now, lying on my doormat, debris that would have costructed at least six nests. I am sorry to tell you that they appear to have given up - they must be exhausted.:)
