Wow! This is fantastic. Very well presented. If it wasn't for the ripples I would not have guessed this was water. Well done!

¡Gracias Jordi! Estuvo hecho simplemente. Yo añadido un guijarro hasta el escenario. :-D

Hey Ale! So good to have you back on Flickr, man.
Yeah, you can't really tell from the thumb just what is going on in this picture. It is actually, upside-down. If you flip your screen 180º, you'll see the picture makes more sense. I took many frames, but when I reviewed them, you couldn't tell it was water. So, I got the idea to add one pebble to the scene. It made all the difference. :-)

      Köszönöm a meghívást Zoltán!

Köszi a mehívást *Chipmix*. És nagyon hálás vagyok a kedves gondolatoknak. (remélem a magyarom nem túl gyenge)

Hello Chris! I was out to shoot wildlife on Sunday and turned up nothing... except for this curiosity. Just an experiment. Cheers!

You're so kind foxfjord! The evening I took this, I was searching for two large beavers that I've seen in these waters every time I've been fishing here. I came back to this stretch of river, loaded for bear (er... make that beaver). I brought underwater camera gear, a wetsuit, and scuba mask, etc... They never showed up! Gee, did I feel silly. So I took this one as a consolation shot.

Thanks Ara. That is why I tossed a stone. I guess I caused the disturbance.

Why, thank you Sandra!! That's so nice of you.

Bonjour Frederique. I am so grateful for your kind words.

Hi Caitlin! You nailed it! That's exactly what I did... flip the camera 180º. Thanks so much.

Thanks Jan! Kinda' like your water drops but on a much bigger scale. Cheers

Obrigado sweet AnnA! I appreciate the generous invitation.
      bjs.

Gracias Sebastian! Su foto es extraordinario!

You're right Ale, my friend. I set the camera 800 ISO so I could shoot with a fast shutter and deep focal field. I was still waiting for wildlife. Thanks for the HUGE link. I had not, myself, noticed the birds in the trees before. But see the "grainy" effect from the high ISO? That's why I prefer 50 ISO, usually.

Sweet Marilyn! You're never too late to my party. Nursing a pony? ...gee that must smart (LOL). Seriously though, I think you are a Mother Theresa to critters, you are! I'm so grateful for the kind invite.
      Mwuahhh!

Why, thanks supernova9! I love that buddy icon. The Beatles - Revolver, right?

Thanks so much for the visit an kind comment Juli!

      You're a genius. I love this!!!!

    35. laszlo-photo (72 months ago | reply)

Hi Žak! That's a fair question. I'm just learning my new underwater gear. I've been on the other side of that "looking glass" twice and the visibility is only one meter in that river. So the pictures are really crappy. Also, I wasn't careful about waterdrops on the lens when I shot over-under...

Anyway, the shots are not "flickr-worthy." Here are some of the out-takes for your amusement. I look like such a dork! :-)

    36. ŽakQ100 (72 months ago | reply)

well, i was afraid that we lost you as an underwater photographer :-)

Now I see that everything is under control, keep on with the good work. We expect some top underwater photos with new gear!

I have to buy underwater housing for new camera, I guess there won't be U/W photos from me for a while, but behold, 'cause I'll be back!

      Cheers! :-)
