Brooklyn Bridge Boardwalk @ Night [Explored]

    One of my favourite things about being a travel photographer are the quiet moments I get to enjoy all alone capturing beautiful moments such as this. There is such peace and stillness and I am able to enjoy a one-to-one moment with my landscape. It truly is a privileged moment. I suppose it's a bit like meditation.

    I like this shot because the boardwalk gives you the sense that this is usually a place filled with people and you can get lost in this image by imagining yourself walking along it yourself.

    I was very cold on the night I took this shot, my fingers kept going numb which meant I couldn't press the button on my camera, so I had a quick glass of red wine nearby to help warm me up. I was disappointed about the clouds that night, but I didn't expect them to add such a lovely hue and atmosphere to the image. So my lesson was to always be open to the unexpected :)
