Delivery Issues

Delivery Issues

I keep hearing that there has been little to no snow in the lower 48, it seems mother nature has made a mistake in this years delivery and she has sent it ALL to us. We have about 3 to 4 feet on the level and the only reason that we ONLY have 3 to 4 feet is because Mother Nature has thoughtfully provided rain in between snow storms to cut the level down some. This is easily fixed, if you will all come on up and get your share, we'll be back to normal in no time! :) Oh ok, so maybe cabin fever is setting in just a bit...........

Safety Moment!

Safety Moment!

You must be very careful this time of year when the temps dip so low and the snow just keeps coming. Just the other day Buck went out to shovel the driveway and was almost caught in an ABBYlanch. All kidding aside when the snow came again and it was actually in the single positive digits, it was time to get out for a bit and let Abby play in the snow.

Kids Will Be Kids

Kids Will Be Kids

It doesn't matter what species they are, it seems that kids will be kids. These cubs from last summer will be bigger this summer but should still be just as playful. I can't wait to see the bears on the river again.... Hurry up spring.

Ready, Aim, Fire

Ready, Aim, Fire

This spring as we drove back to Alaska from Montana, we stopped over in Haines for a couple of days. The resident Eagles were the main attraction but we were lucky one afternoon to spot a whale working his way up the inlet. We were able to find pullouts along the way and follow him all the way up and all the way back. As he headed out to open ocean he passed rather close by the point. We had made sure we were positioned for that possibility and it sure paid off. I got several shots of the whale but could resist a shot of Buck getting a close up. I hope you like them, think spring and Happy New Year Everyone!
