Is the wood black, too? I have an old set of
Staedtler pencils that are totally matte
black—the paint, the wood, the lead, the
ferrule, and the eraser. They are so
beautiful that I don't want to use them,
because I doubt I'll ever find them again.
Yes, looks like a Futura heavy... It was a
cool surprise that they used lower-case
too... I even like the massive, and I suppose
necessary, tracking. Of course! Totally will bring a handful into the
office. Matte black and black wood would be VERY
cool, though these are more traditional.
Thanks for the General's recommendation, I
want some of that cedar smell! Sure... I used www.seaboardpencil.com/ They turned out pretty good and definitely
had a great price for US made pencils.

BTW, if you're not already a fan, order yourself a package of General's cedar pencils. You won't be sorry! They're gorgeous.
