This is just so beautiful. Did you use a star filter or photoshop to create the stars? Love the color and composition, and that is a really really pretty ornament.

I haven't used a star filter and I have used photoshop only to cut the image. The stars you see are mini electric light... The photo has an exposure of 20 sec. and an aperture of f/25.

So very pretty! I had a hard time capturing macros of my Christmas ornaments. You've done a great job here. Specifically (to my eye) I can't tell if your tree is real or artificial, which of course is a good thing! The golden tone of the photo, along with the lovely stars and the hand-painted quality of the ornament, all come together for a warm and pretty Christmas shot.

@Chocolate Quilt Mom: Thank you for your complete and precious comment. To satisfy your curiosity I reveal to you that my tree is artificial. It's 9 feet tall and the brand is "National Tree". I love feeling Christmas atmosphere in my house by using the nicest ornaments. I have been preparing my decorations since November. The stars are little lights and they appear like that thanks to a long photographical exposure (they're not produced by particular filters or by photoshop).

Thanks for the brand information! I will certainly have to file that away for future reference; maybe one day we, too, can have a beautiful artificial tree! LOL Ours is a bit lame but once the lights are on and the ornaments in place, it works for now. I love long exposures for twinkly lights. I've done some of that myself this year! :) Thanks for dropping by at my stream. Happy New Year to you and yours!!
