The Falcon and the Snowman

The Falcon and the Snowman

Millennium Falcon was the most famous spaceship amongst the Imperial troopers: elusive, mysterious, unpredictable and fast, boy, was the Falcon fast!

Little known fact: For the Imperial attack on Hoth, the troopers briefly practiced catching the Falcon with a flying scale model of the real thing. TK-24/7 was very proud of his job as the only trooper skilled enough to fly the target Falcon.

Actually, I just happened to hear the David Bowie theme song from The Falcon and the Snowman (a John Schlesinger movie, 1985) on radio today. I couldn't pass this.

Koensayr BTL-A4 Y-Wing

Koensayr BTL-A4 Y-Wing

This is the Finemolds' model I built for the "Ghost" photograph. Building phase was very enjoyable after a long, I mean looooong break from building anything of the sort. It is straight-from-the-box, as they say, only I did not use the decals that came with the kit, I painted them on instead. The markings are nondescript for the Gold Squadron, the asymmetrically placed yellow stripe on the left engine pod is a nod to the "Red Jammer".

Heeere's Boba!

Heeere's Boba!

There's something about Japanese aestethics I have always liked very much, especially typography. I do not know any Japanese, though, and attempting anything like this is a bit risky. Still, with Wikipedia and essential guidance from a friend, I got this far, It should read something close to Boba Fett. If not, please let me know and I'll edit accordingly.

ALTERNATIVE FRAME: The ”Ghost”

ALTERNATIVE FRAME: The ”Ghost”

There were clouds in the sky when I was shooting this, the sun kept hiding behind clouds from time to time, and some of the alternatives I took were shot in hazed sunlight. From this angle the Y-wing is not that recognizable and the blend with real background is a bit dull, not much really happens there, the fighter does not sit nearly as naturally as in the originally uploaded version. Yet, I like this frame, too. It looks cold.
