Boba Fett Returns

Boba Fett Returns

As the mighty Sarlacc died of indigestion, Boba Fett rose from his sandy tomb with a gastric acid burned armor and a mind for a vengeance.

I think I'd like to see a teaser movie poster like this.

Oh, and I just dig those Japanese letters, I just can't help having them here...

REJECTED FRAME: Chewie's Bad Habit

REJECTED FRAME: Chewie's Bad Habit

Chewie had a private food stash in the Endor forest.

Originally, this was only a near miss, I almost uploaded it but after some edits and variations did not, I felt something was missing. This time it was the atmosphere, I guess it just felt a little too clean at the time. Eventually this idea evolved into this uploaded shot: "Bad to the Bone".

I uploaded this to my Facebook page, but thought it actually should be here, too.

The ”Ghost”

The ”Ghost”

It was a gorgeous spring day, just perfect for taking another photo of the "Ghost", the derelict Y-Wing fighter parked in the woods near our house.

I am happy with how much the tiny Y-Wing model can take in regard of faking it's scale in a photograph. It is only 1/72 scale, that's pretty small. It worked well with snow earlier, but I wasn't that sure it'd work like this. Had to try.

Jung de Plume

Through the burning dead forest...

Couldn't decide which one to upload, then I thought: it's 3A, why not a triptych? Problem solved. :D

A Project

A Project

I've been slow to upload anything recently. There's a reason for it. I've been building a spaceship for photography.

It all started innocently with a simple Y-Wing model a while ago, it was fun after a long time of not building models. Then I thought I'd go for a bigger, more ambitious project, something that would be really fantastic to photograph: the Finemolds' 1/72 Millennium Falcon. It wouldn't have been so bad if only I hadn't decided to add all the necessary lights, every single one of them! (The information on the lighting arrangement of the Falcon seems to vary bit, but I'll try to get as close to screen versions as I can.) Pictured here is the lower hull sans paint and detailing, illuminated only by it's own lightsources.

At this point of the project, I just miss the simplicity of Lego.
