They are inside, it is outside... The night air is cold, so they're not likely to go out, nothing is quite that exciting... Except, except... This just may be... They are pinned to the glass, which is cold to the touch (the heat of the kitchen and the crowds behind them keep them warm though). Pinned to the glass, staring out, watching, observing, excited by what they see... They see it, but they don't quite believe it... But yes, it is true...

There is a fungus among us, though he keeps to his self... He is always quite quiet, sitting upon his high shelf...

I think this is the end of my Muir studies, unless I get creative... The best part of the walk was the quite amongst the towering trees - There is nothing quite like walking among giants and the million little beautiful secrets hidden beneath the green canopy...
