On July 23, 2010 Qatar Airways (Doha) took delivery of Airbus A321 A7-BIB. A7-BIB was the first delivery with the modified 2006 livery which now features a smaller Oryx logo, now contained on the tail.
The pictured Boeing 777-3DZ ER A7-BAL (msn 38244) banking for its final approach to Washington (Dulles) on December 27, 2010, was delivered on September 24, 2010 with this modification.
On June 20, 2011 at the Paris Air Show Boeing and Qatar Airways announced an order for six additional Boeing 777-300 ERs (Extended Range) airplanes.
As one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, Qatar Airways currently operates 25 Boeing airplanes: eight ultra-long range 777-200 LRs (Long Range), 15 777-300 ERs and two long-range 777 Freighters.
In November 2007, Qatar Airways took delivery of the first of a 32 Boeing 777 order. Exercise of options subsequently increased the order to 40 aircraft of which 15 are pending delivery.
