Taken a couple of years ago at the beautiful El Dorado Royale resort in Playa del Carmen. It seems like some of my favorite photo op's of late take place in our kitchen and this morning was no exception. Part of breakfast was a steaming bowl of hash-browns that were as visually stimulating as they were delicious.

My love of New Orleans' JazzFest is well known amongst family and friends. I started going for the music over ten years ago but I must admit that the sights are as appealing to me these days as the music. This is one from the archives (May 2007) at the Jazz and Heritage Stage. I remember this day having a surreal atmosphere as so many post-Katrina days in NOLA did; the clouds rolled in and the ever-present feel of an approaching storm hung heavily in the air.
