The irises are gone and now it's the lilies' turn in Joan's garden.

This is the last, and possibly my favorite, photo from the NATO protest in Chicago. Although it doesn't have that much to do with the protest it highlights the zany aura surrounding that weekend. I can't even begin to explain what's happening in this scene.

Protesters turned south on Michigan Avenue accompanied by a little music -- a march, perhaps.

Enough with the masks already.

They look like something I had when I was about 5 years old . . . but, that was the sixties, man.
