I spend a really great day at Whipsnade Zoo yesterday.
I have enough images now for a year's worth of "Furry Friday" entries!
This young female ostrich was very friendly - but was always too close to the enclosure fence to get a great shot, so I took this close up through a gap in the links!
Moira doesn't like this too much - yet it's the single shot from yesterday that I like best!

It *does* look like a macro - but I was some distance away and had to crop a shot at 300mm (I *love* that new VR lens!!!) 1/200th of asecond and still pin sharp.
