.. aunt B....
my oldest aunt died one week ago.
She was 88 and she was very sick: almost deaf and blind, with senile dementia, she could walk only in her home with a walking aid. At the beginning of the year she had to be put in a elderly people home because her sisters could not take care of her properly anymore...
After the first days of confusion.. she actually had an improvement in her conditions... but then realized where she was.. and gradually refused to eat...
that's very sad, expecially for my aunts that were forced to take that decision..
I feel guilty because I don't feel sad... my aunt was a very independent and strong person, and she spent the last years of her life in a very sad condition..
I am sure that now she is happy.
Yesterday her ashes have been put together with my grandparents.

There have been some roll and shake in these last days here in Verona and North of Italy... First big shake three days ago around 1 a.m.: one of the worst ways of waking up. Living on the 6th floor we had quite a taste of it. I had my heart in my mouth for about twenty minutes, and Muccone held me so strong that he nearly choked me... In the morning there has been another shake and then the craziness started.. it is not yet understood who gave the order to evacuate schools and buildings, but when I went in the street for some shopping the streets were crowded with people, saying 'we have been told to stay in the street because there will be a big shake at noon precisely'.... but who told you so? Ah, I don't know... I learned from that person that heard from another person...
Muccone was at home because he was sick, and refused to get in the street.. so I made my shopping and got back at home... then noon passed without any shake.. we watched tv and they said... no.. wait... the big shake will be at one p.m. precisely.. %-( ..... I could not reach my sister at heart Raffi at any of her numbers, and I wanted to know where they were, because I imagined that my niece Maria wasn't at school anymore.. I managed to reach my brother at one o'clock (while on tv they said that no.. the shake will be at 1.30 p.m....) and he just met with Raffi and Maria in the gardens in front of their home..
Yesterday around 4 p.m. another shake while we were sitting on the couch (now we are both sick) ... Also this time they said that maybe there will be another 'big shake' afterwards.... And then they talk about 'unnecessary panic'
I have a few words on my mind, but they are not very gentle and polite...

this song is haunting me.. I find it awesome..
the shot has been taken from the passenger seat while we were driving back from a short wandering in the mountains. The path was slippery with ice, therefore we did not reach our destination.. but we had a good time anyway.. apart from the slips and the falls.. ;-))
but as no one got hurt, we laughed quite a lot..
