I had forgotten about the Troutbeck scenes I took earlier this year; this one is of the beck (looks a good brown trout beck), and shows just how clear our Northern becks are.
Beck is a Scandinavian word - echoes of the Viking invasion of centuries ago - and really means stream or brook.
This beck was sparkling in the June sunshine; crystal clear waters, green pools, dappled light filtering through green leaves...Oh, what bliss! Simple delights given freely by Nature for our enjoyment. A little Atom of Delight.
