Oregon Beaches

Oregon Beaches

This type of 9-patch inspired by Red Pepper Quilts. Lap size. Initially I had the yellow/tans/rust which are in my values quilt, but it was too chaotic with the yellow/tans/rust pieced in between the blue nine-patches. Made from 1/8 yard scraps of each color seen (Kona Cottons). Quilted in diagonal grid.

Zig-Zag Quilt (using rectangles)

Zig-Zag Quilt (using rectangles)

Amy Butler fabrics, constructed with rectangles based on Amanda Jean (Crazy Mom Quilts) tutorial; my favorite parts are the crazy pieced zig-zags on the top & bottom ends. I realized the middle part was really too big for a baby quilt, and I was trying to figure out how to make it into a real lap quilt size, and of course all I had left were scraps. Meander quilting.

Safari Quilt

Safari Quilt

Center animal figures from a thrifted duvet cover. This quilt made almost entirely from thrifted sheets; the only quilting fabric are the orange/green/blue dot frames. Lap size. Meander quilting.
