  • Heh. You wish. ;-P
  • No, I don't wish. It is actually mine. I misplaced it about 16 years ago. But I still have the mug around here somewhere. - Gwynedd

3 for Tea

Mr. Brooks, Petey, and Hedwig stopped by for afternoon tea, after their Parliament of Owls -- during which they discussed, of course, the nature of the elusive Armadillo. These three were parched! :-)

    I adore this photo Michael.
Maybe the Parliament of Owls can figure out how to keep the armadillo out of my back yard.

I imagine there is a lot of "here, here", "furthermore", "I do say" and "spot on" going on. Arguments about the nature of scones versus crumpets and the proper way to take your tea.

Tea and lofty conversation! With these three, one never knows what heights of intellectual discovery might be reached.

    hehe. Thank you, m'dear! :-)

I daresay, Adam (they went for the scones)! ...wait a sec...you've got an armadillo in your backyard??!! Lucky! :-O

They are a bit secretive about their investigations into the nature of the mystical Armadillo, Brett, but otherwise the conversation was quite spirited and enlightening! :-)

A very nice Saturday Afternoon Tea was had by all! :-)

The 3 wise owls have met for an afternoon tea at their fav resort, Mr Froggy Belview Mind and Beauty Clinic. It is a exclusive very posh liberal resort. When they go there, they always discuss SERIOUS stuff, and get AMAZING equations, theories and hypothesis at the end. The secret is in the tea... they go naked into a spa-teapot full of cinammon bubbly tea. It has been scientifically proven that tea softens fethers, specially if you don't have any and your skin is made of fabric.... Moreover, these savy birds can drink tea at body temperature directly from the tub... which, thanks to the bubbles, increases the speed of circulation of the heavenly drink along their bodies, reaching the brain superfast. The result is that the brain cells mul-tea-ply at the speed of a bubble-bigbang, producing amazing effects on the neurological connectors of the brain. We can expect great things from this meeting, that's for sure. The photo was surely taken by Miss Molly Froggylynch, before she handed them over the towels, slippers and teaproof notebooks and pens. Melusina Nestcafinn ends here her report for the 5.45 show "Science is in the Air" from the Oniric Chanel. Ciao

Well, I'm happy you made it -- most folk have to stumble to find their way to this crazy place! :-)

That's what I thought! They are almost the same size! Ya done good again -- better than even good! :-)

& Thank you! They are fun birds to have around the house! :-)

They sure do funny things! :-)

Right away, m'dear! Here is your fresh cup! :-)

me too -- I like to just sit back and listen to them chat. :-)

I think you covet my teapot! :-)

LoL! The Oniric Channel is my favorite! -- and of course I'm all about science and whatnot! :D

  38. bookhouse boy (56 months ago | reply)

    Is that a Häschenschule teapot?!

  39. frogmuseum2 (56 months ago | reply)

    It's a Wedgewood teapot. I've had it for about...16 years! :-)

  40. scribblegurl (56 months ago | reply)

I know about the armadillo. ;)

  41. bookhouse boy (56 months ago | reply)

I see. Die Häschenschule is a German children's book, a classic. It's about bunnies at school, you see, and stylistically, it's very close to your teapot. You can see some artwork here or here. (It's from 1924. You'd think the copyright would have lapsed by now, but no. So those are all the samples I can find on the net...)

  42. frogmuseum2 (56 months ago | reply)

What? They let you into the club and excluded my own self? Arrrrgh! :-P

Oh, I'm sorry -- my German is so very bad! The characters depicted on this teapot are from the book "Peter Rabbit," by the English children's book author Beatrix Potter. Thank you for the links! ~ I always like to find new books! :D

  43. frogmuseum2 (56 months ago | reply)

    Aha! Found it Here

Yes, the characters are amazingly similiar!!
