Glowing Inside

Glowing Inside

Another image taken inside the Nolan house in central Georgia. Amazing place, if only the walls could talk! I liked the way the lights was glowing through the doorway in the room with the old fireplace. Such interesting textures and colors throughout the place.

Country Weigh Station

Country Weigh Station

Another rural Georgia image from a past trip....just never got around to processing this one. I think it is some kind of old weigh station of sorts. There is a covered drive-through area and a large scale for weighing crops, cotton, etc. Love the tin roof and the worn wood. Can't get much more southern than this.

Remembrance

Remembrance

Inside the old, mostly-abandoned Antioch Baptist Church in central Georgia. Really interesting old church established in 1886. Still open to the public, but in huge need of repairs. Supposedly, there are still periodic services here. While I was here exploring, several of the doors opened by themselves - kind of spooky...but fun.

Trespasses

Trespasses

Outside the old, mostly abandoned Antioch Baptist Church in central Georgia. Established in 1886, supposedly, there are still periodic services here. I loved the reflection of the old trees encroaching on the wooden church, as if trying to reclaim the wood for the earth.

Approaching Storms in the Palouse

Approaching Storms in the Palouse

A nasty thunderstorm was quickly approaching right as we got to this beautiful old abandoned farmhouse in the Palouse region of Washington state. It's known as the Weber house locally, and it's really quite special when you see it in person. Here, it was lit by the last remaining rays of sun before the storm moved in - I loved the contrast that resulted against the ominous background.
