Winter Wonderland
Having seen Nicky's beautiful snowflake Christmas cake flickr.com/photos/smallthingsiced/3015738334/, I thought it was about time I put the snowflake cutters I had already bought to use ......... thanks for reminding me Nicky!
The cutters Nicky used are Patchwork Cutters but these are PME plunger cutters. They may not be as intricate as the Patchwork ones but they were very easy to use and the snowflakes were quite robust.
I think I will use this design (but in silver liners) for our "cupcake Christmas tree" this year.
Fondant iced, snowflakes are Mexican paste with lots of edible
glitter!

Oh wow, something magical about snowflakes. We have a hot christmas here in South Africa, yet snowflakes always make me think of Christmas. These are lovely!!

Oh Chris, this is gorgeous! I love the cutters you've used, the snow flakes are really pretty and much easier to cut than the ones I have......you have totally sold them to me, lol!

They are PME Snowflake Plunger Cutters and
come as a set of three ...... I've used the
middle and smallest sizes here. I've found

Very pretty! I have snowflake wedding cupcakes coming up in January. I just ordered those patchwork cutters, and also the celshapes snowflake molds. I'm probably a glutton for punishment because I've heard there both challenging to use compared to the plunger, but I was really hoping for a really delicate look. Wish me luck!!! These look really beautiful. Especially with the beautiful glitter!
