    What's this photo about?

A title and description can provide essential detail about this photo.

    Day Three Hundred Sixty Four

    364/365. Ending Creditsmeet Trammell

If you were waiting to hear some final words... well then pay attention because these are them.

First, this is the Internet's Mark Trammell. He was kind enough fill in for the 364th spot.

Other than that... So it seems that the time has finally come where I'm rolling the credits before the curtain closes on this long, painful, and educational project. Throughout the day I've had repeating lyrics in my head from Lose Yourself since I've never felt such an overwhelming pressure to produce something amazing for my final photo (tomorrow).

Regarding thanks.... well, there's Erin. And... yeah. Then of course there's about a hundred other people, but really; I'd just end up leaving people out.

Regading the project itself. I started this thing to learn, grow, and share. I honestly didn't think it would earn Mashable's Flickr Photographer of the Year, or be featured on the Flickr Blog, or even yet, land the most flattering Strobist Interview. It truly feels like I Forrest Gump'd my way through this.

Regarding all of you. This is important for you to know. I am not the greatest at this. I see things the way I see them — then I take pictures of them in light, angles, and colors that I see fitting. And then I shared them with you. Hopefully, removing some of the magic behind it by documenting them in a way that made most sense to me had I been picking up this thing for the first time. I can only hope it was useful for you. Plus it was free. As in beer.

Anyway, if you're interested in keeping up with what I'm doing outside of the photo world — I'm on Twitter as @ded.

Last but not least, here's some classic text info (old shule style).

    strobist info: SB-900 @ 1/16 @ 17mm w/ 1/2 CTO into 50" big mama softbox 8' away camera left.

    camera info: Nikon D3 | 85mm(ƒ/1.4D) | ƒ/1.4 | ISO 1000 | 1/25s — Handheld via Pocket Wizard II's

One of the most incredible series ever. You shared your trials and tribulations, and techniques, and those are a few things that set it apart. Oh yea, the photos too.

Thanks for your efforts and creativity!

You were and will always be an inspiration to all of us newbies jumping into the world of photography - especially strobing. And you are kind enough to share your set ups and ideas. As said yesterday - waiting for the final pic.

So all the best to you and may you have a great year ahead...

You're the champ. As much as you think you've learned from this, the masses have learned much more.

      Thank you.

~ sigh ~ it's gonna end. I suggest that you documented all your 365 photos into a book including strobist setup info. Then sell it to public. Booked 1 copy for me, okay! Cheers!

Thanks for sharing them to the Earthlings. Actually, they served as a great inspiration for me to like the field you are in... being a shutterbug..

Anyway, I'll reserve my congratulations until tomorrow....

Can't wait to see your final shot. This project has been so inspirational for me and I'm sure many many others.

From the guts it took to get out there with all that equipment and take these shots, to the dedication of documenting all the details, it has been an amazingly enjoyable journey. Will be a shame to see it come to an end, still at least there's a book to look forward too :)

      oh, and Happy New Year!

    44. Noah Stephens (8 months ago)

Thank you for everything, Dustin. I truly hope there is truth in the maxim that those who give generously receive much in return. If it is, you're gonna need a warehouse for all the goodness headed your way, brother.

Also, I hope Dustin has inspired all of his viewers to share what we know with other upcoming photographers.

      Happy New Year, everybody.

Haven't chimed in much here during your 365, but have been following since "The Strobist Interview". Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration/information. I know how much time and hard work went into posting, not to mention making all this beautiful photography was.

    48. ...storrao... (8 months ago)

      great shot!

      happy new year!!!!

    49. D.Lopez (8 months ago)

Dustin, I think what makes you so admirable is your desire to share your knowledge. There are some photographers who keep their techniques/secrets for themselves. So, new photographers like myself appreciate the fact that you take a few quick minutes to answer quick questions or post your setups. I must say that I enjoy Erin being your P.I.C. (Partner In Crime). It reminds me of me and my fiancee! Thank you!
