Seattle Airport

Seattle Airport

This is a shot of the food court at Seattle Airport that I took when we were leaving Seattle to return to Tucson. I love this airport as it is filled with these glass rectangles. I hoped for a plane taking off while I was shooting but no luck. I shot a bunch of shots while walking around the airport for exercise. I was surprised not to be hassled by security for taking pictures.

Frosted Rock

Frosted Rock

This is the shore behind the Fireside Hotel in the early morning hours at high tide. It is a long exposure shot of the waves crashing over the rocks.

Ancient Tree at the Overlook

Ancient Tree at the Overlook

This ancient weathered tree can be found at the lookout on the path between the Devil's Churn and Cooks Chasm. I was struck by the impressive beauty of this tree standing above the sea.

Swirling pot

Swirling pot

This is an HDR of Thor's Well at Cape Perpetua. I walked out at low tide and this shot had some of water rising up the tube from an incoming wave.

The well

The well

I was standing out on the rocks just before sunset that happened to be about an hour after low tide. The water level wasn't high enough to fill the well so I shot around the area. Before calling it quits for the day I went back out onto the rocks and managed to get a few shots where large waves filled the well to overflow that is needed to get the shot. I managed to nail one before twilight made shooting impossible.
