The Assistant

The Assistant

A picture taken whilst I was playing assistant on Ivinghoe Beacon for my girlfriends project shoot. At this point I was helping to get my 580ex II flash to fire her 430ex to the left of camera, but the conditions weren't favourable! I liked how this one turned out though, so I asked her if I could have it and edit it.

Early Morning

Early Morning

So I went out at 6 am yesterday to be assistant to my girlfriend for a shot she is doing for her university assignment. We went to an amazing place called Ivinghoe Beacon on the Ashridge Estate, but if was so exposed and windy. This shot was take whilst trying to work out framing and shortly before my shoot through umbrella instantly turned inside out! Kate had the weirdest attire on, jacket, hoody, cheap but fancy looking purple dress, bobble hat and wellies! So I made her silhouette :)

Puddle Stompin'

Puddle Stompin'

Had a nice weekend and got to take a few picture. Hopefully I will get time to post a few!

This is a fun one from a walk in the woods with Kate, my sister and her boyfriend, and of course my dog, Bonnie.

Mdina House

Mdina House

This little dwelling was in the middle of one of the many small courtyards of the wall medieval town Mdina, which is in Malta. I don't think any two buildings are the same there, and it is full of narrow streets and beautiful old houses.

I don't know what I liked about this picture or why I chose B&W. I think it was because the subject is full of character, lines and textures, which are really accentuated in mono with high contrast. I love how no line, window or level is the same, which is something totally alien compared to where I live.

Mdina was a beautiful place, and I am glad I got to go there with my beautiful girlfriend. I can't wait to travel to other places together.
