Before I got to Dry Falls, I had to pass through Cle Elum. I have driven by this barn several times and one of my friends Dene (aka Seattle Miles) has this in her stream: www.flickr.com/photos/denemiles/3894970025/ I have wanted to stop and take pictures but never stopped until this weekend! I knew it was going to look cool with all of the snow and those old trucks in front..."Eye Candy" for me!
This was only the beginning of my almost 800 mile round trip through central Washington and through the Palouse! The area is awesome during the rest of the year, but I felt it was especially magical with the white winter blanket! Just like at Dry Falls, www.flickr.com/photos/fresnatic/5239760256/in/photostream/ it was in the lower 20's. At least the wind was not blowing here!!!
This is a combination of three exposures (-2,0,+2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix 4.0. Perspective cropped in Photoshop and ran through Topaz Adjust. Final adjustments and vignetting in Lightroom3.0.
Thank you for the views, comments and faves. I have more photos from this epic drive I took this weekend, not planned, that I will continue to post over the next few days. Just remember, they will all have snow in them! So get some warm slippers on and some hot chocolate and enjoy! Have a great evening everyone!
