Apollo Emergent

I've worked third shift for seven years now. Every morning, I take a few minutes to watch the dawn break. I've probably seen more sunrises than most. Its a magical moment when the dark mysterious night loses its grip and a new day begins. There is a gentle silence, there are rich deep colors embracing you, there is a feeling of calm anticipation that only exist for a few moments between the Was and the Will.

I've seen my fair shair of sunrises ... but most of them I wish I hadn't. Either too blurry eyed or not enough sleep. The best sunrises, to me, are the ones you experience while camping. IMHO, I don't think there are any better sunrises than out in nature.

This is one great photo my friend ... I love the detail in this simple but extremely multi-layered shot.

I love the sunrise, especially all along on a mountain top. So where is this guy?

I actually enjoyed more what you wrote. :) But the photo definitely drew my eye and I had to click on it.

I can´t wait until I will live on the top of the valley and awaken to the sounds of the birds, the cattle, see the men working in the coffee plantation next door and the huge scenic view of the valley extending 50-60 miles from my home.

I´ve seen some amazing sunsets here but not enough sunrises.

      peace.

amen to that. something refreshing about witnessing the birth of a new day, even if we are turning in a few short minutes afterwards. I often think of the scene in City of Angels as the sun is rising. It truly is as if the permeating silence is accompanied by a euphoric song

Great description of the incipient possibilities of each new day, and the mask is great.

I love seeing the sunrise, especially after a storm when the clouds have just begun breaking. I've seen some extraordinarily beautiful sunrises along the Wasatch Mountains.
