This was a really lucky spot, I was standing at the nearby bus stop waiting for the bus (who would have though) and this drove past me and turned down a cul de sac road. At that moment, I knew I had to get a photo somehow, so I ran after it, and found it parked up nearby, and I got back in time to catch the bus! This is most likely a one owner car, the older owner looked very well dressed in it, and it is clearly very well looked after, amazing how close I was to my house yet this is the first time I have ever seen it.

Showing on the DVLA as unlicenced since the middle of January, but I am pretty sure it was on SORN when I last looked it up... weird, it could just have been sold on however, pretty sure most scrapyards will issue the CoD right away these days. Looked solid, but an undesirable specification and colour which didn't really suit the Metro in my opinion, they look an awful lot better in red or blue. Still, lets hope this rather original car is still around, and hasn't been condemned to the scrapheap just yet.

This was parked at the same property as the Rekord, maybe this was the daily transport until it was also laid up over a decade ago? No signs of any other cars there either, maybe the owner has since given up driving or something. I must say, despite the pair of rather neglected cars, the driveway was pretty tidy! Looks like this was a really smart looking example before it was left to rot, no obvious signs of rust at the moment either... but more of the car is hidden here than I could see.
