I can't quite place what this reminds me
of...something dark yet carries some part of
innocence. I so love the background and how
undefined it is...as well as the lovely
(fake) bird which, again adds something...I
just can't place my finger on it...perhaps
when I am not at work I will look on it
again. This is one of my favorite images on
flickr by far.
this is what i see when i look at a beautiful
roarscharch blot. this is what i see when i
close my eyes when i'm lucky. this is what i
see at the edge of reason. i've never seen
this, but this is what i see. when i've been
somnambulant. when i can't remember the
ravings of a restless night where i lay
still, eyes fluttering behind their lids. i
really like this shot.
This is equisitely beautiful. I saw this in
the British Black and White Photography magazine. They were the best images in that
issue. The only question I have is - is that
a real bird? :)
Otherwise, your pics look a lot like those of
Julia Margaret Cameron / Lewis Carroll rolled
into one, but given a very modern twist with
the Holga / Lomo angle. I'm very impressed.
Congratulations, I saw this in "Black
and White Photography magazine” in the States
(Kentucky) and thought hum... I know this
image from somewhere. I realized it was yours! Wow, great job.
You are very talented. Great to see your work in print!
Thanks so much. I FINALLY got a copy of the
magazine! :) I had been checking the
bookstore over and over and over again ( 3 of
them in fact) and one of them finally got it
in yesterday. They must have all thought I
was crazy :)
Absoultely magnificent image....and much
respect for doing it the real way...this is
the kind of image people will look to when
they realize something has gotten lost with
digital...
