Thanks...quiltskeet... this quilt is in the book "Glorious Colour" by Kaffe Fassett...I have just been following the instructions...it really isn't difficult, just time consuming. :)
Wow, thank you so much! I can't really tell how long it's actually taken because for about 3 years it hung on the wall in my sewing room much like it looks in this picture without me even touching it, I just got caught up in other aspects of life...I don't really have a lot of time for quilting...anyway about 2 months ago I got back at it and now it's almost done - just have one section across the bottom to join to the rest. I teach high school and will be off for the summer in a few days, so it will be done hopefully next week. :)
This is the most beautiful quilt I've evert seen, I love Kaffe Fassett. I have just got back into patchwork since my mum died and your quilt has just given me so much inspiration to get started again.
I am loving this quilt. I sew so much and spend too much time on computer. I want badly to get started on some quilts. Right now I am working on 4 wedding gifts which are cotton laminate on one side and decor weight on opposite side and binding. I am using Amy Butler's free pattern on her site. It has a bag to carry picnic blanket in as well. I am adding some napkins as well. PLUS, I am working on 5 crafty graduation presents that are already 3 weeks late!... That seems to be the way my projects go. Always a little late and no time to sew for me.
I have an awful lot of unfinished projects and fabric because while I have so much I WANT to do, but working full time and chauferring my teenage daughter to all of her activities seems to leave me with little time/energy left over.

This is STUNNING! I haven't figured out how to make quilts like this yet but I can't wait to learn. It makes me so happy just to look at it!

Holy moly! I've thought (very, very briefly) about making one of these, but I do not have the patience. Yours looks amazing and what a lot of work!

Hopefully you will be quicker than me with it - I started it in 2005 and still not finished. I never seem to have time for quilting.
