Watchout for the No Tresspassing sign

Look closely for the "No Trespassing" sign. Yes, I saw it, defaced and all. But I thought I could at least claim stupid if I got caught - which I did (got caught and claimed stupid). Lucky for me, no citations.

While it is also obvious that a railroad bridge is a dangerous place - primarily because there is no place to go if a train comes - this one had strategic escape spots every 50 yards. They were in the form of little 5'x3' balconies, and although quite rusted, would have been better than standing on the tracks if a train came. Lucy for me, I didn't have to find out whether they would support my fat ass.

This is fantastic! Not just for the color and the composition and the vanishing point out there in eternity, but also for the wonderful (and funny) story that goes with it. Great work!

Wow Matt! This is fantastic! I love a railroad bridge! I really like that you got on top and close up too! I was only brave enough to do that once myself, and within minutes before a train came by! Although I nearly wet my pants with excitement, it was still pretty scary and dangerous! Glad you didn't get a fine or worst! I love how this looks to end up in the water! Really is a super cool view! Good job!

Yeh, I'm not sure how they know someone's on the bridge but usually within a few seconds to a few minutes an officer will
show up. Even on some of the bridges that you think are
      no longer in use.

      Wonderful perspective shot!

OMG Matt......I thought you learned with that $800 photo you took in Galveston.....but this is a really cool shot which I know for a fact that Marilyn is going to be envious of. However, if she wants to go there, she is going to have to do it alone.....I'll try to keep the cop busy!

Wow great photo. From where did the cop come? This bridge seems to be in the middle of nowhere.

Isn't standing on the track, even though you are not on the bridge, also trespassing?

I do love this shot Matt but have to fuss at you for taking it where you did. There may be little escape routes along the bridge but if you had to use one of them because a train was coming it is doubtful you would still be there after the train passed. More likely you would be in the water and so would the camera, at least I hope you would be rather than dead because I love your photography and treasure you as a friend....
