Alpine dawn over the Trient Plateau in the Haute Savoie

From a high camp near the Aiguille du Tour, above Chamonix, in the French Alps. Cropped from a scanned slide. Dates back to 2002 or so. Probably around July! No shortage of aeroplane trails about that morning...

Beinn a' Bhuird

An icy late afternoon on the plateau of Beinn a' Bhuird, in the Cairngorm mountains of Scotland. This one is from a little while ago, but I came across it just the other day, and it seemed refreshingly cooling in the current sweltering heat of Sarteneja!
