Notes from Meshforum 2006

    Yes, I am quoting myself!

These are my notes from Meshforum, taken on index cards. Please add notes and tags liberally, especially if you were there or can augment the ideas in any way, like point to a book or related url. Thanks!

This is fantastic! I feel the same way. My interpretation of "...a little slow" is simply that visual thinkers feel they are "slow" because they are translating everything they encounter into a different language, which takes a minute or two. :-) I really enjoy the notecard concept btw. I worked for a year at a very famous technology company and was the only one who was taking notes on paper vs. a laptop. Perhaps I will try the notecard approach myself. Do you feel there is added value in using notecards vs. notebooks? Just curious.

Yes, I think paper is still much better than digital for many things -- specifically, quickly capturing ideas or impressions, that book you should read, etc. It's also great for face-to-face brainstorming or idea sessions.

I still think you need a way to share that information digitally, which is why I took these notes on paper and then posted them to Flickr -- it'll allow me to share them, blog them, publish them, etc.
