I had another shot that I might have chosen instead, but Flickr is doing some weird sharpening or compression thing lately that is really messing up my images. I even tried reducing the image size to 640pixels from the original and it still looked jacked up. You can still see weird bits in this shot around the outline of my hair (pixelated). And Lightbox will "fix" some things, but makes other things even worse. I hope they work this out soon. if you look at my shot from two days ago, you can see it around my profile. Has anyone else noticed this lately?

Perfect :) I upload from my laptop but I view Flickr on a lot of different computers so I've thought maybe the differences I see is due to the different monitors.

Happy Friday to you too! I think this looks just fine, I can't see any flaws, but I suppose you see the before and after so maybe there is! Maybe it's an iphone thing? My iphone uploads never look as good as they did ON the iphone. Also Flickr Rick could be right, it could be your monitor, I know I get a wholly different set of colours between mine and my work computer, which is annoying.
Anyway I digress, I love this. I admire anyone who can pull off beautiful, warm, feeling, thoughtful portraits time after time...and with an iphone...even more awed! I am.

You look so happy it's contagious, Cynthia. And the composition with the wall is so easy on the eye. I have noticed the sharpening effect, too, but not in so large a scale. I usually skip the last sharpening in Photoshop on the pictures I upload to Flickr. Also, the different monitors do show the sharpness differently.
