Bench Monday: frosty field
My original idea for the letter F was to do a Bench Monday on a fire hydrant. When I saw the frost this morning on my way to work I thought, great - a frosty fire hydrant bench Monday! So I stopped and got all set up and took a test shot. I set my timer, but when I got to the hydrant, it was super slippery because of the frost. So I gave up rather than injure myself. Before the frost burned off this morning, I ran out after I got to work and took this shot instead.

That fence and backstop is the perfect foil curving through the image. The red coat does make everything seem like selective color, but what wonderful selectrive color! The hint of green of the fence against the red really is incredible. The frost is beautiful.
You know, it hasn't even gotten cold enough to frost over here?!!!

I can't imagine climbing atop a fire hydrant unless you have superhero grippy shoes. The fence in the background adds visual interest. As if that smashing coat needs any help. ;)
