Het dorp heeft zeker veel sfeervolle plekken.. maar ook plekjes als dit waar nooit een moer aan is geweest. In dit gedeelte was het van oorsprong een lint waar in de jaren 60 en 70 het nodige aan is geplakt aan woonwijken. De zichtbare gebouwen zijn al weer "herontwikkelinig".

Charme vind je rond de Hoofdstraat; het historische centrum. Neemt niet weg dat hier het hoekje wel fotogeniek is.

In zijn geheel is het dorp zeer leefbaar en zeker geen gribus. Gribus is Zaandam ; helaas straalt dat landelijk af op de gehele Zaanstreek en omgeving (oa Oostrzaan, Wormer, Jisp). Als je de krochten van Zaandam Centrum mijdt, dan is vaak de eerste blik fabriekspijpen langs de zaan (vooral vanaf de A8 met bijbehorende cacao geurtjes.
Wie daarmee zijn beeld heeft bepaald heeft een punt; een goed recht. Laat maar zo; anders wordt Krommenie nog het Wassenaar van boven het Noordzeekanaal....

I mean looks common the picture; is it? could be made in one of the last decades; for example ask some one who is not into trains to estimate the year taken....)

The large energy mill (125 meters) and the wall with roofs behind gave a clue Just ast the many air stripes does somehow. Green energy, a noise polution wall, that means 21th century or late 20th century. The air stripes? so many; definitve that airstripes become common in the 50's and so many is from the days airplanes became cheap bulk carriers in the early 21th century. The train itself is designed around 1973 and the pantscheme is introduced 30 years later...

A nice contrast to the old fence Concrete pilars. for decades used to protect railways Very common till ca. 10 years ago. Today iron fences are the standard and these oldies almost monumental, so rare... Last things remaining of a very rural landsllide, today part of a large new urban area.

Heerlijk fotoweer. Waar een onverwachte DDM-1 toe leidt. Toch even treinen kijken dan. Er zouden ook Koplopers moeten komen. altijd goed

Rond drie uur snelt Koploper 4206 voorbij. Op weg naar Hoorn! Messcherp in beeld. Niets beters dan priille voorjaarsstorm en wind die schoon waait...

Nice photo weather. What an unexpected doublestock train can bring (see photo 1). After that panic shot decide to wait for some trains.

At three o'clock trainset 4206 is passing on its way to Hoorn. It is a so called "Koploper" (Frontrunner). Supersharp at the picture. Nothing better as the sun of early spring. Togehter with wind, raising the air
