Most communications between humans are not textual, pictorial, or even lingual. We have an innate ability to use our corporeal being to transmit messages much more clearly than any formal language. We can even recognize these traits and behaviors in other species - this gibbon, one of our closest relatives evolutionarily, is obviously feeling threatened.
