Marie Josée is now working as a supervisor of debris and garbage collection for UNDP’s cash-for-work programme in one of the worst-hit neighbourhoods in the city. Her work, she says, is not only helping her financially, but it distracts her from thinking about her loss all the time, and it makes her feel like a valued member of her community.
