Aegir at Dog Island

Aegir at Dog Island

This was taken this morning was up at 7am and out on the riverside in order to catch the Aegir, not done it for ages and then had the most pleasant walk around town with the cameras. You really do need to go and see the Aegir to really appreciate its power and beauty and the sound it makes as it approaches from the distance with its rushing roar to the boom boom boom as the wave hits the timbers on the defence works.

Lemonade Pop Bottle Paper Label

Lemonade Pop Bottle Paper Label

One of my collection of Gainsborough Bottles that are currently on permanent loan to the Heritage Centre. These are all from John Davies Mineral Waters of Hawksworth Street in Gainsborough.

These ones have paper labels on top of the embossed glass bottles, which are not often seen the labels usually having long since perished or been washed off.
