It depends how you conceive flickr... as a portfolio of your best work, or as a way to exchange tips between photographs. I have improved partly thanks to the latter. Please don't say somebody is rude and ignorant unless you know how it was intended. - alibaba0

I agree - not with the other - but yes, with or without its a good image - the fact that its good has lead people to comment on it - because the image has effected them as it has me. but the photographer has put his image up for publich viewing and, as they are most prob aware, it will be analysed. - roblutter

I agree that it is not rude to give a critque or some advice, as long as it is not rude. Though I do not believe that this photo needs any cropping or anything, the advice giver is just giving a suggestion and if the photographer chooses to take the advice, it is their choice.
