I swatched all of the flakie polishes I have for reference. They're all swatched over black (1 coat).

I've been taking a doll break, thus the nail photos. I do my nails every 2-3 days, I just don't usually take pictures.

Anyhoo, if anyone is wondering why I still have the gray sparkle nail, it's out of curiosity. And fear. See, It's a LOVELY glitter, but it literally drinks topcoat. It took at least 5 clear/tocoats before it became smooth. That, combined with it being a glitter polish (already incredibly tough to remove) I'm curious how long it's going to stay intact. 5 days so far!

This is from the limited edition set of the Hunger Games China Glaze polish. I only picked it up because I saw it swatched on a blog and it looked wonderful... In person, the bottle looked like mud with bits of golden grit in it. It looks MUCH BETTER on the nail! Very shimmery and magical, not muddy at all <3

The magnetix nailpolish is some no-name brand, not the china glaze brand...

Ok, so I heard about the magnetic nailpolishes, but they look so 'eh' in the bottles color-wise, and I figured "stripes? La de dah." but...holy crap!

The magnet doesn't just create a pattern on the surface of the nail, like laying down paint does. It creates this 3-d holographic type sparkle that shifts across the surface of the nail when you move, like a star sapphire on your nails. I'm totally getting more of these.
