Oxbow Bend
Hazy autumn afternoon on the Snake River at Oxbow Bend. I was told the haze was from a controlled burn somewhere west of here in Idaho.

Seems in the autumn there is always a controlled burn somewhere up there to haze things up. Three of them last Sept when I was there!
But still every so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like that the haze subdues the imposing mass of Mt Moran, letting the viewer better enjoy those beautiful autumn colors. I've *got* to get to the Tetons/Yellowstone in Autumn some year. We always seem to go in the first week the park(s) open in June.
