      No is not a model car, This is a factory press photo but I agree it sure looks unnatural perhaps the background was added later or perhaps it is a staged photo behind the car. No doubt done long before Photoshop was created.

      But having said that, they did produce a promotional model of the 1969 Opel GT:

      The background was not added later. There are several publicity shots from the same location, probably one of the Swiss or Italian Alpine lakes. It is just how the photo was focussed. But the photo is a bit stretched, as you can see with the slightly oval wheels. Here are another two from the same location:

      Pretty backdrop, thanks for adding those. Wonder if they drove the show cars to the location of if they trailered them there. They must play with the depth of field somehow. Sure wish I knew more.
